Teen Read Week and speculative fiction

This year’s Teen Read Week (October 18-24) has the theme of “Read Beyond Reality @ your library.”

To search for relevant resources, try the TeachingBooks Guided/Advanced Search page where you can search for resources associated with specific genres … including Science Fiction/Fantasy.

Teens might be particularly interested in hearing authors introducing and reading from their Science Fiction/Fantasy books. When you conduct a search for the follow criteria:

  • 7th to 12th grade
  • Book Readings
  • TeachingBooks Original
  • Science Fiction/Fantasy

…you can enjoy these great results!

Leave us a comment about how you’re celebrating Teen Read Week this year!

I would like to know how other librarians are celebrating Teen Read Week. Please post what others are doing.
