Win a copy of The Wolves of Greycoat Hall by Lucinda Gifford (Elementary)
The refined family of The Wolves of Greycoat Hall visit Scotland, their ancestral home. After some initial hesitation, the locals are won over by their mannerly ways–all except for the villainous Mr. Vorlad, who’s secretly planning to convert an ancient castle to a resort, destroying forest and beach lands in the process. Author Lucinda Gifford’s humorous pen and ink drawings, sidebar comments, map, and recipe add more fun, and make the book especially accessible for readers transitioning from early chapter books to longer fiction. Topics such as stereotyping, acceptance, nature preservation, and community, also offer many opportunities for discussion.
