Hello! It’s barely October but Thanksgiving is right around the corner – many schools plan fun runs to celebrate their communities and get a little fresh air amidst all the parade viewing and pie eating. If you are hosting one, Candlewick Press hopes you’ll consider making it very Moody – Judy and Stink Moody, that is! Taken straight from the pages of Judy Moody & Stink: The Wishbone Wish, Candlewick has created the perfect, playful way to add a little flair to your event that can be done anywhere and will get your kids moving and reading.

Kids, teachers, librarians, and parents all know and love the books about Judy and Stink Moody, written by Megan McDonald and illustrated by Peter H. Reynolds–the universal situations,  the fast pacing, and the laugh-out-loud humor are crowd pleasers. Judy and her brother Stink are guaranteed to make any run, well, fun!

Candlewick is providing free materials to help groups host a Moody-themed run, virtual or in-person. Registrants will receive 10 paperback books and one Judy Moody “I Ate a Shark” T-shirt to use as raffle or race prizes; plus temporary tattoos, Moody pencils, and reproducible activity sheets to be used in a raffle or as race prizes, or really however you see fit.
