TeachingBooks.net is excited to announce that on January 23rd, we will be launching our Virtual Book Discussion series. We are happy to have this opportunity to be in conversation with you as we mix work and play.
Use this link to register: TeachingBooks.net Book Discussion.
The theme of our first discussion is Immigration, a hot topic for a cold January day. We have paired the following fiction and non-fiction titles: Inside Out and Back Again (HarperCollins 2011) by Thanhha Lai; Denied, Detained, and Deported (National Geographic 2009) by Ann Bausum; and Brothers in Hope: The Lost Boys of Sudan (Lee & Low 2005) by Mary Williams.
Please join us for a lively conversation as we explore the topic of immigration via the paired texts that highlight opportunities for reading across the curriculum. There will be three opportunities to participate on Friday, January 23rd. Discussions will be held at 8am, 12pm and 4pm CST. Get in on the fun by registering here: TeachingBooks.net Book Discussion and we will send you a reminder!
