A few days ago while riding my bicycle to work, a pigeon flew up from the railroad tracks and over the bike path. I was reminded how my colleague Nick Glass, who grew up in New York City, has shared with me the power he felt as a kid making the pigeons fly.
In honor of the pigeons in our lives, explore these two books (and their online resources) about pigeons:
- Luke on the Loose: A Toon Book by Harry Bliss (RAW Junior, 2009)
- How to Heal a Broken Wing by Bob Graham (Candlewick Press, 2008)
To find more resources about books with pigeons, do a “Subject” search for “Pigeons.”
